The Clevelands' wedding

The bride was 21 and the groom 49 when the wedding took place in the Blue Room. Frances Folsom’s dress of ivory satin, which her attendants said could “stand up by itself,” must have made quite a picture framed in Tiffany’s iridescent blues, snowfalls of white, and silver reflectors for the gas wall lamps that constituted the decor of the Blue Room. On the hearth, red begonias symbolized the fire of love.
